The Spiral Welded Epoxy Coated Pipe is a high-strength, cost-effective piping solution designed for large-diameter transmission and structural applications. This product combines the manufacturing efficiency of Spiral Submerged Arc Welding (SSAW) with the superior corrosion resistance of Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE). By applying a specialized epoxy coating to the interior and/or exterior of a spiral-welded steel pipe, this system offers a robust barrier against environmental degradation, making it ideal for long-distance water transmission, piling, and industrial fluid transport.
Cost-Effective Large Diameters: The spiral welding process allows for the production of large-diameter pipes (up to 3000mm) from narrower steel coils, offering significant cost advantages over seamless or LSAW pipes for large-scale infrastructure.
Superior Corrosion Resistance: The epoxy coating (internal and/or external) isolates the steel from moisture, soil, and chemicals, preventing rust and extending the service life to 30–50 years.
Structural Integrity: Spiral welding provides excellent mechanical properties and flexibility, making these pipes highly resistant to ground movement and seismic activity—crucial for buried pipelines and piling.
Hydraulic Efficiency: The internal epoxy lining provides a smooth surface (friction coefficient ~0.01), reducing flow resistance and preventing scaling or biofilm growth in water applications.
Versatile Protection: Can be configured with internal lining for fluid purity, external coating for soil protection, or a dual-layer system for complete isolation.

Internal: 200 µm – 500 µm.
External: 250 µm – 400 µm (Standard FBE) or thicker for 3PE.
Internal Epoxy Lining: Used for potable water, sewage, and industrial fluids to prevent contamination and scaling.
External FBE Coating: Used for buried pipelines to resist soil corrosion and cathodic disbondment.
External 3PE Coating: For high-risk environments (rocky soil, deep burial), the spiral pipe can be coated with a 3-Layer Polyethylene system for maximum mechanical protection.
Spiral welded epoxy coated pipes are widely utilized in:
Water Conservancy: Large-diameter municipal water supply and drainage mains.
Oil & Gas: Gathering lines and transmission pipelines (typically with 3PE or FBE external coating).
Construction & Piling: Foundation piles for bridges, high-rise buildings, and seawalls (often coated with black or grey epoxy).
Industrial: Process water, cooling water circulation, and slurry transport.
Gas Distribution: Low to medium-pressure natural gas networks.
